About Me

Hi, I’m Megan.

I’m a mom, an ISR-certified instructor, and someone who takes water safety very seriously — especially here at the Jersey Shore, where water is part of everyday life.

After the birth of my first child, I developed intense water anxiety. Living near the ocean, pools, and bays, the fear felt constant — and overwhelming. I knew I wanted my child to have real water safety skills, so I desperately searched for ISR lessons in our area… and kept coming up short. For nearly four years, there simply wasn’t availability close to home.

That experience changed everything.

When I finally found ISR and watched my own children go through the program, I didn’t just see the skills — I felt the shift. The confidence. The calm. The relief of knowing they had tools to protect themselves in the water. Both of my kids have completed ISR lessons, and I’ve lived the commitment, the emotions, and the questions that come with it.

I didn’t get into ISR because it looked fun or trendy. I got into it because it works.

ISR (Infant Swimming Resource) teaches children how to self-rescue if they ever find themselves in the water unexpectedly — whether that’s a pool, bay, lake, or the ocean. It’s not about swimming laps or blowing bubbles. It’s about giving kids real, life-saving skills during the years they’re most vulnerable.

As both a parent and an instructor, I understand the fear, hesitation, and trust it takes to begin this journey:

  • Will my child cry?

  • Is this too intense?

  • Am I doing the right thing?

My approach is calm, consistent, and individualized. Every child progresses at their own pace, and safety always comes first. I work closely with parents, communicate clearly, and make sure you understand why we do what we do — not just what happens in the pool.

I’ve been on this path with my own children, and I’m truly honored to walk alongside your family as you take it with yours.

My goal is simple:
To give families peace of mind and children skills that could save their lives.

If you’re here because you want your child to be safer around water — you’re in the right place.
